Safety at Wiew

How Wiew keeps people, property information and money safe, and how to report a problem.

Wiew puts real information in people's hands and connects them to professionals who do real work on real homes. Both of those carry responsibility. This page explains the protections built into the product, the things we deliberately refuse to do, and how to reach us when something goes wrong.

1. Your account

2. Privacy of property owners

A line we will not cross. Wiew does not offer, and will not build, any way to search for a person by name in order to find the property they own. Search is address-first. Owner names from public records are not displayed in the app. Where Wiew helps confirm that you own a property, that confirmation is shown privately to you and never to other users.

3. Working with professionals safely

Wiew helps you find and compare professionals. It does not perform the work, employ the professionals, or supervise their jobs. Before hiring anyone, in any marketplace, including ours:

4. Information safety

Wiew shows estimates as ranges, labels every figure with what kind of number it is, and states the date it reflects. That is a safety feature, not a style choice: a number that hides its uncertainty invites decisions it cannot support. Modeled values are not appraisals. Zoning and constraint views are readings of public rules and maps, not legal determinations or permits. Always confirm with your municipality and licensed professionals before you commit money.

5. Content and conduct

Professional profiles, messages, reviews and job posts are subject to our Terms of Use. We remove content that is fraudulent, harassing, discriminatory, or that violates fair-housing law. Reviews must come from real working relationships.

6. Reporting a problem

Report suspected fraud, an unsafe professional, a privacy concern, harassment, or anything that looks wrong to support@wiewapp.com. Tell us what you saw and where you saw it, and we will investigate. [CONFIRM the target response time before launch.]

Wiew is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or a property is unsafe, contact your local emergency number, your utility, or your municipality's building department first.

7. Vulnerability disclosure

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in our apps or website, please write to support@wiewapp.com with the details before disclosing it publicly. We will acknowledge you and work the issue.
