What Wiew stores in your browser, why, and how to clear it.

Most websites open with a banner asking you to accept dozens of trackers. This one does not, because there is nothing to accept.

wiewapp.com sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party tracking cookies. We do not run ad networks, tracking pixels, or cross-site profiling on this website. What we do store

Your theme choice

If you switch this site between light and dark mode, we save that single preference in your browser's local storage, under the name wiew-theme, so the site does not flash the wrong theme next time. It contains one word: light or dark. It is not sent to our servers, and it identifies nobody.

Strictly necessary infrastructure

Pages, images and video are delivered through a content delivery network, and web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means those providers receive the technical request information any web server receives, such as your IP address and browser type, in order to deliver the file. This is how the web works; it is not tracking by us.

Clear what this site stored

You can remove the theme preference at any time. Your browser settings can also block or clear local storage for any site.

The app

The Wiew mobile apps are governed by the same principles and by our Privacy Policy, and by the privacy labels published on their app-store listings.
