How Wiew uses AI

Wiew uses statistical modelling and automation to turn public records into something a household can act on. We think you are entitled to know where that happens, what it means for the numbers you see, and where we deliberately keep a human, or a licensed professional, in the loop.

1. Modelled numbers are labelled as modelled

Some figures in Wiew are recorded facts, such as a deed sale or an assessment. Others are produced by models, such as a market estimate or a rent estimate. We never blur the two. Modelled figures carry the label, and they are shown as a range with an as-of date, never as a single exact figure dressed up as certainty.

2. What the models do not do

• They do not decide anything about you. Wiew does not use models to grant or deny credit, tenancy, insurance or employment, and does not sell scores about people to anyone who does.
• They do not rank neighbourhoods by the people who live in them. Wiew does not use race or ethnicity to characterise an area, and does not produce “good area / bad area” verdicts. Fit scores describe the match between a property and the goals you entered.
• They do not replace professional advice. Zoning and constraint readings are informational, not legal determinations or permits.

3. Automation with a human in the loop

Educational content on this website, including the project and town guides, is produced with AI assistance and reviewed by us before publication, against a fixed set of rules: no invented statistics, no fabricated prices presented as quotes, sourced figures labelled with what they are, and no legal or financial advice. Where a guide states a figure computed from public records, that computation is real, not generated prose.

Any AI-assisted feature inside the app is there to explain, summarise or route, not to make the decision for you. Where an assistant surfaces a number, the number comes from the same sourced, dated pipeline as the rest of the product.

4. Your data and model training

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not hand your personal information to third parties to train their models. [CONFIRM the exact position for every third-party service used by the shipped build, and state it plainly here, before this banner is removed.]

5. Accuracy, error and correction

Models are wrong sometimes, and public records contain errors. That is precisely why every number carries its kind and its date, so you can judge it rather than trust it blindly. 6. What we will not publish

We do not publish the specific internal method behind our estimates. That is a commercial decision, not an evasion: what you are entitled to is knowing what kind of number you are looking at, how current it is, and how uncertain it is, and Wiew shows all three on the number itself.

7. Changes

Our use of automation will change as the product grows. Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new effective date.
