Help and support

Answers to common questions about Wiew, and how to reach a human.

Wiew is a small team. Support is real people, and questions that expose something confusing in the product usually end up changing the product.

Common questions

Is Wiew free?

Wiew is free to download and free to use for exploring properties, scoring them against your own situation, and keeping a watchlist. Professionals can create a profile and a branded business card free, and pay only for growth tools such as campaigns.

Where does Wiew work?

Wiew is deepest in Massachusetts today, covering all 351 cities and towns down to the parcel. Elsewhere, Wiew shows what is honestly knowable at that location's level of detail and tells you which level that is, rather than inventing precision. We expand region by region.

Is the estimate an appraisal?

No. It is a modelled estimate, always shown as a range with its date, alongside the public record. For lending, tax or legal purposes you need a licensed appraiser. See our AI Policy.

Why is a number about my home wrong?

Public records contain errors, and assessment cycles lag the market. Tell us what you are seeing at support@wiewapp.com. If the underlying public record is wrong, your municipal assessor's office is the place to get it corrected at source.

Can I look up who owns a property?

No, and that is deliberate. Wiew is address-first, does not display owner names, and offers no way to search for a person by name. See Safety.

Can Wiew tell me if I can build an addition or an ADU?

Wiew shows your parcel's zoning district, its buildable envelope, and mapped constraints such as wetland buffers and flood zones. That is a planning view, not a permit or a legal determination. Your municipal building department has the final word, and it is always worth a conversation before you spend design money.

How do I delete my account?

From inside the app, or through the account deletion page.

I am a professional. How do I get listed?

Create a business account in the app. Your profile and business card are free; you pay only for the growth tools you choose to use.

Is there a web version of the app?

Not today. This website explains the product and publishes free guides and town data; the analysis tools live in the mobile apps for iPhone and Android.

Learn

Our Learn library covers buying, selling, renting, projects room by room, and every Massachusetts town by the numbers. It is free and requires no account.
