The team · Buying a home
Radon, pest & sewer inspectors
The specialist checks a general home inspection isn't built to catch.
What they do
- Radon & mold, a radon test measures an invisible, common gas; a mold assessment follows moisture and air quality.
- Termite & pest, a wood-destroying-insect inspection, often required by the lender anyway.
- Sewer scope, a camera sent down the sewer or septic line to find breaks, roots and blockages.
When you need them
As needed, and 'as needed' is more often than buyers expect. Add radon and mold for most basements, a sewer scope for older homes, big trees or a private line, and pest for anything wood-framed or rural. Your general inspector will often flag which ones to add.
What it costs
Each is a modest add-on to the main inspection, cheap insurance against a problem that's expensive and invisible until you own it.
